Recently, another method has been added \u2013 UAV inspections. Drones are fast, agile and very effective. Often, damage is not visible from the ground. UAVs can hover over the scene like a helicopter and take pictures or record videos. This way, the condition of the power line can be determined perfectly. Possible damages and defects include cracks, deformation of the vibration dampers or rust deposits.
